#7 Reading Ferruccio Busoni
I thought that Busoni's idea that music is within the creator was a very valid point. I liked how he was accepting of all types of music and the differences between brighter sounds compared to darker sounds. His concept of "absolute music" is an interesting idea. The fact that composers dont have to follow the ideas of older composers however they can follow the ideas of nature in their compositions. Additionally, his theory that each composer must find their own rules when creating music is a innovative thought. I thought that it was creative to think that each creator should attempt to create music that is perfect, and when that is combined with individuality than the composers rule is created. Overall, I thought that Busoni was a very free thinker that accepted new styles are compositions.
